If you have not read the Power Automate Integration article, please read that first before beginning this tutorial.

Okay, now that we have got to the Pares JSON connector all setup we can take the form data and integrate into other back end systems.

This tutorial is focused on Power BI integration and more specifically 'Add row to dataset' connector.

Set Up Dataset

Datasets can be used to fuel your graphs and charts in your Power BI dashboards.

To create a new dataset navigate to your workspace, select the Datasets tab and click Create.

Then select streaming dataset, and API.

Now you can build out your dataset. For this you will need to name your dataset and start adding values.

These values will be the form data that you want to capture in the dataset. Datasets offer 3 value types, text, number, and DateTime.

Now that the dataset is complete we can connect the Flow.

Connect Power Automate

Open Power Automate and search for the Power BI 'Add row to dataset' connector.

Now start connecting the Workspace, Dataset and table.

Once these have been set the dataset values will automatically appear. Now it's just a matter of connecting the correct dataset value to the Form data.

Make sure to save your flow changes, and your DONE. Try submitting a form and seeing if it starts to populate your dataset.

You are able to see if the flow ran successfully by clicking on the flow and looking at the Run History.
